I am currently pregnant 24 months after having an emergency csection and will be scheduled for a csection. I think the answer varies on how your csection was the first time and how you healed.
I was just told by my OB-GYN that you should wait 18 months after delivery but I also feel like that’s to long. I am 14 months pp and we’ve been trying since the end of July. I think it has to do with healing.
My first two doctors told me absolutely under no circumstances to get pregnant within a year....I think if you wait the year then at least you'll have roughly 21 months between csections.
It’s to do with making sure your body is healed, avoiding uterine ruptures (which is a full hysterectomy risk and no more babies at all), lowering risks of miscarriages and complications and generally just making sure your body is okay for the rest of your life. If you don’t allow yourself to heal, you can have high risk pregnancies, develop adhesions and internal scarring issues you can end up with issues for life. Along with general complications from surgery and back to back pregnancies. Just wait mama, for your baby and your own life long health. We only get the one body in life xx
My daughter is 2.5 and I’m 29 weeks pregnant after a section. Feeling really good, low risk and minimal scarring on internal scans xx
my son was 13 months old when i fell pregnant, i had no complications with my second pregnancy
My OB said 18 months between the birth and next due date.
I went for a VBAC with my second and they said anything over 18 months between deliveries they were happy with, so conceiving anytime after baby was 9 months x
12-18 months
I was pregnant within a year.. they’re 18 months apart
I got pregnant when my first was 11 months old, no mention from any medical professional of it being too early and they were happy for me to elect or vbac x
I’ve been advised by doctors it’s no sooner than 18 months
I was under the impression the 18month wait was for those who wanted to try vbac but I'm not sure
