Always trust your instincts!!

Guys, when I tell you, you know your body better than anyone trust me! I had continuous infection on my wound for weeks, no one would listen. I went on 4 different antibiotics for a week at a time. At one point it looked okay, then it got worse again. I finally insisted that they put me on a drip for intravenous antibiotics and they listened. I was admitted last Wednesday and went on the IV for 24hours. I was then discharged with two different oral antibiotics i’ve been taking twice a day since. To say the least, I don’t even look like I’ve had a section! In comparison to how it looked, wow. (pictures in comments if you want to look) So please, if you feel something is wrong, tell them you feel that way, demand more. You deserve to be listened to especially when it’s to do with your body! 🫶🏻🫶🏻

thats insane! im glad they listened finally!! they did this to me when i was pregnant and i kept telling them i had preeclampsia and they ignored me till i needed an emergency csection🥲. always trust your gut!!

@Dys It’s disappointing how much we get ignored until it’s too late! Surely one day they’ll learn to listen to us! Hope you’re okay🫶🏻

I agree, I went to the hospital to get checked out for itchiness and seeing stars. They did checks, all okay. I went back a week later to be diagnosed with cholestasis and pre-eclampsia. I had my emergency csection the following day. Unfortunately where they caught everything so late, I ended up with medication for a few months postpartum to rectify the damage

@aria I’m so sorry that happened to you! it’s awful they never listen 😖

I'm okay with what happened tbh. As it was eventually picked up and delt with very quickly. They admitted me, monitored me constantly and gave me appropriate treatment. And I managed to carry to term so I'm very thankful 🙏 they did their jobs the best they could with the information they had.
