Scheduled for TOMORROW morning 😬🫣

My c-section is scheduled for tomorrow morning & I'm doing last little (& not-so-little) cleaning around the house... trying not to freak out. I can't believe she's about to be here 🫨 🙏🏾I am grateful in advance for a safe delivery & an uncomplicated recovery.

Good luck mama!! You got this! Remember to get up and often as soon as you can. It hurts but it helps with recovery. Sounds crazy but it's true. Also, if you laugh. Sneeze, or cough, hold a pillow tight to your incision area. It helps a little. Don't be a hero, stay on top of your pain meds.

@Kalyn the sneezing and coughing part. What if pillow is not close enough??

@Kachi hold your stomach the best you can. It does get better. I tried to always have one within arms reach I got a cough while in the hospital and it was no fun.

All the best! Mine is Friday 💗

Get up often when you can. It sucks but gets better each time and really really does help. Take it slow and steady do NOT overdo it. Everyday walk a lil farther but again don’t overdo it! And be minimal around the house, doing chores/cooking right when you get home doesn’t seem like much but your body will tell you it was too much that night. Let people help you and take it so so easy. If lying in bed and getting up is too hard set up pillows on the couch and sleep upright for a few days! Helped me tons. Stay on top of any meds regardless of how you feel. Congrats!

Congratulations!! Every day will get better. Listen to your body, it’ll always tell you when to slow down and rest. Drink slowly and avoid popcorn! Chocking /coughing hazards lolol

I was freaking out about the surgery which meant I didn’t soak the entire process in so try do the opposite and enjoy the process..it’s calm and hearing that cry is wonderfully amazing 🤩 you are in safe hands

Yay good luck!! I can’t wait to be saying this!

Peppermint tea is your friend and chew gum post surgery ! These helped me hugely with trapped wind/gas pain I suffered in my first section not knowing about these. Best of luck

I agree with all the above, what caught me off guard was the delay in milk for the first couple days and how it feels can combine with the pain meds wearing off and that was really hard pain for me to have the combo of. If I’m blessed again I’ll know that next time around and be more patient with my body and prepared mentally

Wishing you all the love and luck! You got this, Mama! ❤️

Thank you all for the encouragement & well wishes. 🥰 Getting prepped for epidural was the worst part for me--emotions & nerves were all over the place. Buuuuut my lil chunka munk is Earthside now 💕 ....healthy & is almost out of nicu 🙏🏾

@(See-mo-nay) Ahh congratulations and well done you! This made me well up 🥹 no better feeling than the first contact. Beautiful 🤩
