Worried about waters leaking

I’m not sure if i’m overthinking or not, but is it really obvious when your waters start to ‘slowly leak’? i’m sitting here tonight thinking that i won’t notice if my waters leaking at any point and something will go wrong! Is this just pre birth nerves?

I went in yesterday for suspected leaking waters and was checked over and it wasn't anything but I found out I was contracting! Currently at home still contracting waiting for it to get a bit more real 😂 midwife told me when your waters go, they really go, it's quite uncommon to just leak a little bit apparently xx

I made the mistake of telling my husband I thought my waters were leaking and now he's completely turned off 😅 he gets all squirmish as soon as I mention sex 😐 dry spell for me now I guess!

Mine started as a very slight trickle too! Then a little bit heavier. It was never anything more than a little trickle (at home anyway. It gushed out in hospital lol) but I knew it wasn't wee. I called triage, went in and they said I was 9cm dilated already!! If you can't stop the trickle with your pelvic floor muscles and it just leaks out, then it's likely to be waters and not wee. Waters are continuous too so it'll keep happening bit by bit. Always call triage if you're not sure x

Not always really obvious. Mine were trickling and I went to triage as thought it was strange. They told me it was probably just wee. I went into labour that night and was told it was probably my “hind” waters which had gone already.

With my first I woke up at 7.30am and went for a wee. When I went back to bed I felt wet underwear so I changed. This happened 3 times in 10 mins. So I told my husband that either my waters were breaking or I could not stop weeing myself. But either way I needed to know. I could not spend all day weeing myself every 2 min 🤣 I put a pad on, called the maternity assessment unit, they told me to come in. On the way there, it startwd really going. They checked the pad and confirmed it was my waters.

My hind waters went and it was incredibly slow the nurses thought it was definately wee but it wasn’t and I was induced the following day. It only happened when I sat up from a side lying position so I’d say it’s definately worth getting checked out because it’s a quick test and then you know!

I’m 36 weeks and for the past couple of days I’ve been feeling really wet down there and I too thought it was my waters slowly leaking. Called triage and they told me to come in and get checked. Turns out it was just really watery discharge and it’s normal the last couple of weeks. But if you’re worried definitely go get checked you’ll feel better. 🫶

Mine were like the movies! Big splash all over the floor, non stop. But I think that's quite rare 🫣😅
