Not LGI but generally the same everywhere locally, I went in at 40+4 (high risk) even though I was booked for 40 weeks as there was no space. You do eventually become top of the list x

I was induced in March at St James’s. I got called around 4pm on the day I was supposed to go in. I called at 11am though to find out what was going on and how long the wait was likely to be. You can do the same. You could even offer to go to St James’s instead of LGI if that’s an option for you, in case there’s a bed there sooner.
I was waiting days for a bed on delivery at St James’ and I was a high risk induction. Should have been induced at 38+6 but wasn’t induced until 37+4. They can literally ring you in the middle of the night though if a bed becomes available
I think they can literally ring you at any time when they have a bed available for you. You can always call them for an update and see how many ladies might be ahead of you.
