Induce labour naturally?

I’m 37 weeks nearly 38 and my baby is already weighing 8lb and I’m just tired in general and I just wanna meet my little girl now 🥹so any tips to induce labour? I’ve been drinking raspberry leaf tea since 32 weeks, I’ve been bouncing on my ball and I’ve done curb walking. Btw baby is weighing big because I have Gestational diabetes.

Have a look at the miles circuit on tiktok, no idea if it’s any use😂I’ve started doing it the last few days and have felt the pressure drop a lot! (I’m also curb walking and on the ball 24/7)

I've started scrubbing the floors on my hands and knees today 🤣 I'm ordering clary sage oil this evening

I don't know how much is just chance but I expressed a lot of colostrum and ate dates with my first and he was born at 38 weeks

@Hannah isn’t dates too sugary or you didn’t mind?? Cos I really struggle to eat the dates with it being too sugary in my mouth..🥹🥹🥹

@Valerie yh I wouldn't normally eat them but I think I started having a few a day when I was about 36 weeks last time because I was told it can help

Be very wary of dates if you have GD - they’re very sugary!

@Kaylee be careful with clary sage! Can cause distress in baby. I think it depends how you use it x

Acupuncture and reflexology are meant to be good ways of inducing labour. I’ve started weekly sessions of acupuncture to get ready for labour and will change it up to induce labour when I hit 38 weeks as hospital want to induce me because of have GD which I want to avoid

I'm 36 weeks but most likely will need an emergency induction next week, so I'm going to spend the weekend doing everything I can find to stay ahead of the game and attempt to get this baby out without the additional pain of an induction. The list I've gathered so far of natural induction methods is as follows: - Induction yoga (Youtube) - Curb walking - Walking sideways up and down the stairs - Scrubbing the floor on your hands and knees - Midwives brew - Pregnancy ball bouncing - Miles circuit

Same situation. I am being induced Monday at 39 weeks but baby has literally only been head down and a week so I have been walking as much as I physically can manage and bouncing on my ball and drinking raspberry leaf tea. I had a failed sweep on Monday due to cervix being too far back as baby had only been head down a few days. So I'm hoping the extra few days, lots of walking and bouncing have helped and tomorrow's sweep actually goes well. Last growth scan was 36 weeks and she was at 7lb 6 didn't have one this week as induction is only a couple of days away now. So we will see if it was at all accurate. She was averaging about a 1lb 3oz weight gain a fortnight. So in theory if they were accurate she will be born around 8lb 9oz ish.

I have GD as well, but it has been under control so the doctor doesn’t want to induce me. I am considering calling the midwife to ask if I could at least have a membrane sweep, I’ll be 38 weeks on Monday and can’t do this anymore 😭. I can barely breathe, I get super tired from everything, can’t sleep anymore, my legs are always hurting, my pelvis is killing me and my anxiety is getting worse, I cry pretty much every single day, it’s too much at this point. I am doing everything I can to induce naturally, but not happening apparently.
