Should they have done more?

Yesterday I went up to the ER due to a ripped stitches from my section two weeks ago, they didn’t restitch, bandage or anything, they did stick a swab inside as there was an infection but didn’t bother cleaning beforehand.. or after, just sent me on my way with some antibiotics, is this a normal experience? The ER doc was a man and the nurse was a student.

Not sure the procedures where you are, in the UK, the rules are to wash it out, cover it and if needed stitch back up. But everywhere is different. The antibiotics will clear the infection (so long as they've given you the right ones) and it should heal up, depending on how open it is. Air can often be best for it too. It's all very dependent on how open it is. I know that's rather vague

Speaking from experience They definitely should hve done more bc fa one it’s a open and u don’t want an infection or air to enter ur body that’s one but after having mii twins I busted mines open a lil bit and they definitely cleaned me up before and after and restitched as well as told me the dos nd don’ts nd wat ifs.
