I love this post! and I feel this, my fiancé has been the most supporting and caring person PP and during labour. We had quite a traumatic labour and he was the most supportive and loving person the whole time through, and has been so amazing whilst i’ve been recovering. Not sure how it’s even possible, but I love him even more after everything ❤️
@Natalie omg good luck, sending love and positive vibes! xx
Feel exactly the same ❤️ very blessed with such a wonderful husband and father to our new baby 🐥
Feel exactly the same, most incredible experience ever 🩵🤞🏼
Love this post! A supportive partner is really a blessing ♥️
feel the same way! so lovely to see so many of us with genuinely supportive, wonderful partners💜
🫶🏽🫶🏽😭 This is so beautiful to read!! I feel the same way. My husband was absolute rock during my horrid 32hrs labour and he supported me on every step of the way, reminding me my wishes and my body autonomy, watching our daughter crowning and being born and spending whole days in the hospital with me in recovery. Now at home he hasn't let me change a single nappy and we work as a team. 🥰
@Gabi congrats on having your baby gabi!! so sorry to hear it was a long and difficult labour, hope you're recovering well physically and mentally xx
@keisha Thank you Keisha 🫶🏽 I'm so glad baby is here safely as it was a whirlwind. I guess next time cannot be any longer 👀😃 Yes the recovery. Postpartum really should be talked about more. I prepped for it well but I feel we PP mums are so neglected by the society and everyone. Like everyone loves pregnant women, but once we do the hardest thing in our lives it's like nobody realizes that and we are expected to function as always and all attention is on baby rather than people checking on us equally 😔😔👎🏼
This made me tear up a little as my husband was the same support for me too. I also had a c section and I was SO nervous and scared. He talked me through the operation of lovely memories for us both to keep me distracted, he even chose not to cut the cord so he didn’t take his hand away from mine. Looking back it was so sweet!! We are lucky to have such supportive men ❤️
I hear you, sister! I feel exactly the same way. I'm literally about to get in the car for my elective c section, and the hubby is more nervous than me. Bless him. I know what kind of man and dad he's gonna be by the way he's cared for me throughout my pregnancy! Dads/husbands/partners don't get enough recognition xx
