I had my first baby in June at the WHBC and had a really positive experience. I had access to a birthing pool, although I didn’t end up giving birth in there! Room was clean and spacious and had various equipment that could be used during labour. Midwives were attentive and made me feel safe and informed. My partner was also treated well and able to access to kitchen to make drinks and snacks! Happy to answer any other questions you have about it 😊
The WHBC is a fantastic place to give birth. I laboured their recently, had to be transferred to delivery suite for forceps at the end but the staff were amazing and the rooms are fantastic. Feel free to message if you have any questions x
Both of my babies were born there and only have positive things to say. One in April 2018 and one in January 2024. Amazing experience there, really peaceful and private. Laboured in the birthing pool with both and had a water birth with my second. Rooms are amazingly spacious and there are bean bags etc if you don’t want to be in the pool. Feels like you get more help after birth as well since there are less people compared to delivery suite.

I had to be induced so I started off in the maternity side (shared room with 3 other people). I then got moved to the birth centre after birth, private room with a bathroom. Absolutely recommended.
I had such a good experience in there with my son born in July! The midwives were so attentive and did everything to make sure me and baby were comfortable. I used the birthing pool and the room was very big and comfortable !
I loved the birth centre! Can’t wait to hopefully go back this week or next. 🤞😂 The staff are lovely, lots of room especially if you like privacy 🤍
