Sorry to hear you are struggling right now. I am also someone who prefers holistic approaches and have faced my own struggles due to trauma etc in the past. - Whereabouts are you from? There may be some free services you can access for therapy. - Slightly controversial topic but there have been studies done that prove medically that depression and anxiety is linked to diet and your gut microbiome. So adjusting diet might help, a whole foods and Mediterranean diet can really help as well as cutting out gluten products. And taking a good quality probiotic. - The smartphone challenge, swap your smartphone for a basic non Internet connecting phone for 4 weeks, first week will be SO hard because we all use phones as a bit if a crutch these days. It makes a huge difference to your mood long term and sleep and stress levels. - Lavender oil or steam inhalation - Chamomile tea with honey
Wow thank you so much guys, I hate this feeling, I don’t want to be in my own skin, the intrusive thoughts are hell right now. I’m going to try and make some changes and see what happens. Grabbing the phone and scrolling is up there as a thing I do obsessively when I’m depressed so I don’t think that’s helping. @danielle I really appreciate this comment, it’s that sort of super hard place where I don’t know what to say though-numb, you know?
