@Gaby Thank you! it’s probably worth me waiting till baby has arrived to buy one then. X
@Jasmin I’d say so. You’ll have a while as I’d expect they’d mostly sleep on you for the first week or so. A friend made her own by putting a rolled up towel under a fitted sheet in the next to me and swore that worked just as well 🤷🏻♀️
We have a purflo and it’s been helpful as our baby was tiny and hates her next to me as it’s so big. Think this makes her feel more secure.
They’re not advised for overnight and babies should be supervised when in them. That being said, my baby girl loves hers and we use it for daytime naps downstairs
I love it. Take it to people houses aswell when I know I'll be staying there long. Instead of having a Moses basket downstairs I just take it there too. An essential for all 3 of my babies tbh.
We got given one with my 1st born and I never used it. I was anxious about it being seen as unsafe unless completely supervised. However when I had my 2nd baby I used it so it was more obvious for my toddler to know where he was as we moved around the house and helped if I needed to put him on our bed for example or when I was bathing my toddler I was able to have him in the sleepyhead in the bathroom with us.
They are only suitable for supervised sleep
I didn’t think these were recommended anymore as they aren’t safe for sleep.
I feel like it depends on how your baby sleeps. We had a sleepyhead (think this brand has been taken over now) with my oldest and it was a god send! But my youngest liked to be able to wriggle around so he couldn’t get on with it.
