Struggling....

Anyone with two or more kiddos..... How is everyone coping? I was absolutely fine at the beginning with now having 2, but the older the baby gets the worse I seem to be struggling. The 3 year old is wanting more and more attention then this 4 month regression is really getting to me. I'm really starting to struggle, anyone feeling the same?

I feel exactly the same. Was okay at first but the baby is still struggling with reflux and potential milk allergy and just feel like I can't give my 4 year old the attention she needs 😫 she was off nursery last week for October break and just when I thought I'd have a week with just one to look after, the 4 year old gets a sickness bug so had to look after the baby and a sick girl 😫 it's so tough but you're not alone ❤️

I felt exactly the same especially the past 2 weeks my now 4-year-old was off on half-term I was getting so overstimulated and felt like I needed a break just to be dealing with the sleep regression and leap4 throughout the night. I talked to my husband and hv for support and validation which helped. We're on the other side now, thankfully

I feel like this and I think it's because the baby's not just a sleepy newborn . You can't just put him down and they go to sleep. He needs my help to get to sleep at naptime which can take me away from my toddler for 20-30 minutes and also when the baby is awake he wants to be carried constantly. Just reminding myself that this is just a phase and that my first was the same as this stage😬

It’s definitely getting harder now the babies are spending more time awake! Two children to entertain, and we’ve had lots of sickness recently so the eldest has missed a few days of nursery etc. washing machine going non stop, it’s so hard to keep on top of everything 😩 I’m exhausted!

@Laura I could have written this myself.

@Lauren same here, just exhausted all the time!. P.s, your daughters names are beautiful. ( I'm slightly biased as I love french names and my daughter's middle name is Cecily😊)

Thank you ladies. You've made me feel so much knowing it's not just me. Not going to lie I am a bit of a hypercondriact and thought it might be the start of post partum depression

@Cece We've got this👏

@Laura I just hope it gets better, or the mom guilt reduces as always feel I'm not doing enough for either of them.

@Cece I've cried over this exact thought so many times. I'm sure it will, I think it's very normal, we're so used to be able to attend to the eldest every need.

@Laura it's really odd as all those that have done this before us, I don't remember hearing them mention this feeling. I always think it's just me or I'm just really rubbish at coping with two 😞.

@Cece I think people just don't speak out when they're struggling because they don't want to seem incapable😕

@Laura I think you are right. I talk about it to get it off my chest and then worry I've said too much and feel silly and worried people think I can't cope.

@Cece oh wow really?! Thank you! We actually call her Cece most of the time too! 🥰

I have a few friends with a similar age gap and it’s been really helpful to know that they’re all going through the same thing, the mum guilt, the sleepless nights, not feeling like you’re giving either child enough attention, the tantrums…it’s all totally normal! Doesn’t make it any easier but it’s nice to know you’re not alone.

It’s so hard.. we just went away for half term. I was squished in the back with one arm trying to stop baby crying (cries for hours) and the other a toy for my toddler who bit me and kept shouting mama mama mama!

I have 3 😅 although my boys are 14 & 10, so they're obviously able to do alot for themselves. But I remember having my 4 year old and a newborn, it was hard work, especially with no family around to help me.
