I didn’t bother. There are waste bins everywhere for nappies etc.
Yeah I would to be honest, they have loads of bins around on the wards. Even if it's a designated nappy bin I still use a nappy sack it's just more hygienic, I do the same for sanitary items.
Definitely no need !!!
We did x
i’d bring some, i stayed on the postnatal ward just for one night after my birth, but the bins were at the end of the ward, which wasn’t ideal when i wasn’t very mobile following my labour. i brought nappy bags and a big tesco bag for to use as a rubbish bag in my own little curtained off space whilst in the ward x
Deffo didn’t pack them with my first, pregnant now and probably would just as I know I’ll be having a section, can bag it and pop on floor til I can move🤣
No, there’s medical waste bins and normal disposal units everywhere for everything from used sanitary pads, sharps to nappies.
I did and we used them for every nappy change. perfect if you can’t get to the bin immediately after change when your bedded down in the ward.
I took a big bin bag and tied it to the end of my bed (I had a c sec), great if you’re not so mobile post birth, I then chucked the big bag in the waste bins after. You end up going through many nappies especially middle of the night and it’s not always easy to get up to bin them each time x
Yes we did! Then just put them in the bin on the ward.
And hand sanitizer! If you can't get up and about yet
Yes! They generally have bins everywhere on maternity wards but if you don’t want to carry the dirty nappy in your hands or you can’t get up for any number of reasons they are very handy. Plus you never know how long you’ll be in for. X
