The overhang is from scar tissue; just maintain your typical diet and exercise and it will likely disappear with time. I’ve had 3 C-sections and the first two times the overhang went away around the year mark (with absolutely no diet and exercise lol) my third one was 4 months ago and I still have an overhang. Scar tissue can be a very important part of healing
I was wondering the same thing! I been trying to get rid of mines but I kno it’s goin to take time cause I just had a bby last month
i had a csection, i was told the right after birth few weeks are "most important " for how you heal however i couldnt even fathom putting a binder on, so i did my best keep my panties up high ovee my belly, pants the same way, and i can say i didnt get a cshelf. Ive had some people tell me it just happens with csectionssss though tooo so it definitely depends on your body as well! (im 6 months postpartum now and pre-baby weight back to 125 and size but my body shape is very different than what it was )
Like the other ladies have said, everyone is different, but what I did was wear a belly binder for 6-8 hours a day starting around 3weeks postpartum. Also pelvic floor workouts.
6 months PP and I’ve been eating smaller portions mainly protein amd veggies and run 5K 3 times a week. I can see my belly shrunk and I lost 4kg in a month.
i did six months of controlled diet and was back to a flat stomach and size six. i will say however it really depends on pre-pregnancy body, your body type your age and how you scar is positioned etc i don’t think some women are ever able to get it completely flat, we are all different. i’m pregnant again and i’m back to square one lol! mite not be as easy for me a second time.
