Nursery updates - what do you get each day?
Hi fellow mummas, just wanted to ask what your experience is with getting daily update / observations / photos from nursery?
Our 8 months old started nursery (one day a week) last month and I'm not sure if I am expecting too much in terms of update or not. On the same day, we currently get a daily diary which is basically a log of his food/milk/nappies/sleep and a few lines of summary of what the plan is for the day for everyone. And then 3 - 4 days after our weekly attendance, we would get a couple of photos and a few lines of observation specifically about our little ones.
I thought we would get more photos and individual updates throughout the day he is attending, but maybe I am expecting too much? My dog goes to daycare too and her daily updates are so much more detailed with many photos on the same day LOL so I may have too unrealistic expectation for the nursery! But keen to hear what your experience is in terms of getting updates from nursery :)

My little boy goes 2 days a week and we got the care diary of bottles, sleep, nappies etc during the day and then at lunch time we normally get photos and quite a big paragraph of what they have done that morning and then around 3/4 we get the same bit what they have done in the afternoon! X
@Hannah that's so lovely! Wish ours would give more update and photos like yours 🥲 sounds like it does vary a bit from nursery to nursery 😭

My lg goes once a week. Some days we will get 1-3 photo updates but i have a day of no updates. I gather they’re busy entertaining/teaching the kids so not going to be on their phones/ipads alot to do alot of photo updates. I think what you’re getting is pretty normal for most nurseries xx
