Mine was faultless ❣️

My decision I ever made for myself and having baby 2 this December the same way! Lovely, happy and calm experience from start to finish (and I was actually a cat3 in the end as I went into labour earlier than my elective date). Zero trauma, no issues in surgery and a pretty textbook and easy recovery tbh. Charge your phones for videos and photos, staff will get some beautiful photos for you in there 💜 Happy to answer any specific questions xx

Honestly my C-section was amazing, and tbh such a relaxing experience. We was early morning and there was only one other family waiting. I can’t say I wasn’t nervous because I was but all the midwives were so nice and the surgeons put you at ease. We was seen around 10ish and it took about 30 min, I had no complications. They let you see your baby over the sheet if you’d like to see them before checks. They let my ex partner cut the cord and take photos and I had a photo with her when she was weighed. They then took my partner and baby to a different room whilst they finished my procedure. I then joined the room and dad give her first bottle and we did skin to skin and were monitored before returning back to the maternity ward. I got feeling back in my legs in a few hours and was encouraged to walk around which tbh was fine, just keep topped up on medication. My main issue after was I was extremely constipated and needed to get some medication x

Positive story; I had my first baby via c-section this June, I was given 2 days notice because baby’s head eas already engaging in pelvis safe to say I was terrified. Got there in the morning the team were so friendly warm and welcoming, once settled in my room the team that would be doing the surgery came round and introduced themselves and walked me through the procedure and answered all questions. When it went down for surgery they were so patient with me as I had a slight panic attack, they waited reassured and took the time needed to get me calm and comfortable, they kept talking to me throughout, offered music to calm me of my choosing, checked every minute of the way I was comfortable and still couldn’t feel anything after spinal block, started to feel sick whilst they were removing placenta and they were on it and pushed anti sickness meds. Post section they checked on me and offered me food and drinks and regular pain meds Nothing was too much for them. Amazing all around

It's so relaxed and calm everyone is so lovely and they explain every little detail and answer any questions you have even if you think it's silly, they don't make you feel like it is and it's such a quick procedure I went down around 9 and had my little girl at 9.20. I've also asked for a c section with my twins which are due in the first week of March just because I know what to expect and how lovely the experience is. Recovery also isn't as bad as what others say. Just take your time and ask for help. Try and do little walks around your house to start off with. You've got this mumma 🥰 feel free to message me if you want to know anything else xxx

I had an elective section Friday (emergency section in 2021). I was so scared but it was a beautiful experience. The staff were absolutely amazing, played our choice of music for us and many of them singing along. They lowered the curtain for us to see him when born. Once they checked him over I had skin on skin and then me and hubby spent time with him whilst they stitched up. Staff took photos and I was discharged 25 hours later 😊 I'm on day 3 and have some trapped wind in my shoulder. My incision is sore but hasn't ever really been too painful.

I had an emergency c section despite that it went so smoothly, and recovery was good too, slightly painful but well taken care of around the clock. We had the golden hour skin to skin. Managed to bf and was discharged home few days after. I'd go for an elective next time. Good luck

I loved mine, I was so relaxed and before pregnancy I was so terrified of hospitals I would dodge them no matter what. It made my birthing experience really pleasant. I told my husband we will have a second as long as all goes well for me pregnancy and delivery wise and I’ve agreed to a second at some point. Luckily my recovery was good too. From being opened up and baby coming out it took 3 mins and 35 mins to sow me up. It was a total of an hour between entering theatre and going into recovery. I’ll deffo be opting for one with my second baby in a couple years
