Big baby and small birth canal?!

Hey guys!! Last Thursday at my 39+2 appointment I was told baby girls head is too big to fit in the birth canal so she refuses to drop (I’ll be 40w tomorrow on my due date) they have a scheduled NST at 9:30am.. could they be making a decision to do a c-section or induce?? They’ve never scheduled me so early for an appointment they’ve always been in the afternoon.. I’m just wondering if anyone else has experienced this?

I don't think they can schedule you for a c-section or induction against your will. They may try to talk you into having one, but they can't force you to.

@Grace no like I’m all for it bec I’m in pain and can barely move I want her out there’s no since in keeping her in if she’s not dropping or going to drop

@Britney oh! Then I'd totally talk to your doctor and suggest it yourself. I had an emergency c-section with my first, but wanted to do a VBAC for my second. But I also knew i didn't want to go over 40 weeks, so I told my doctor to schedule me a just in case c-section and they did it with no problem! (I did end up having the VBAC though) so just ask them and I'm sure they'll schedule you!

As far as I’m aware “small birth canal” isn’t really a thing. Your bones snd ligaments literally stretch apart. There are hormones working all through pregnancy to do this hence the sore hips etc.

@Ellen she’s so big she won’t fit in that area she won’t even drop and I haven’t dilated
