Honestly don't feel silly, I was induced with my son so I didn't know what "labouring" felt like, I thought initially I was having really bad braxton hicks but they felt "different" mine started with bad back ache across my lower back and then into bad period like cramping and a lot of vaginal pressure that just wouldn't subside, I had to sit on my birthing ball for any sort of relief from the backpain, I would call up your labour and delivery ward and just let them know what's happening, I'm glad my husband told me to as when I went in I was already 5cm dilated and labour progressed very quickly. I was 36 weeks and 5 days x
Im 40+2 and I’ve been getting this on and off for about a week now at night, but not as regular as every 10 mins, so hoping it’s a good sign for you xx
Sounds like early labour..
This is my second and completely different. My waters broke first time and it was all go. Currently have contractions (I hope) every 5 minutes 😬
Mine started with pains in my lower back/bum
Mine was slow. Mucus plug, a week later I felt off and had a lot of pressure then when I was in actually labour I had back pain and hip pain.
Should also note I am 41 + 1!
