I used to work on NICU and would advise you ask the midwives if it's possible to be moved so you're not surrounded by other babies whilst your baby is on NICU. The trust I worked at had a separate bay for mums recovering whose baby was on NICU and if that was full (4 beds) they'd go in a cubicle so they weren't surrounded by other babies.
I had this with both of my babies, most recently 2 weeks ago. It is heartbreaking but if you have any earplugs or headphones with you pop those in and try and get a good nights rest if you can for your recovery too, baby will be back with you before you know it and you’ll feel better for it ❤️ stay strong she’s in the best place xxx
Just got home with my baby and managed to get put into the side room to help with this. Could still hear a bit but it was better. It may be worth asking if one is available and just explaining how you’re feeling. Hope little one isn’t over there too long xx
I'm so sorry that sounds so so tough, you just have to remember that the NICU is the best place for your baby to be looked after and you'll have her in your arms so soon 💗 try and make the most of this time to sleep and recover as you'll be up with her through the nights soon and unable to give your body the rest it could so do with post partum XX
