@Laura thank you! That does make me feel alittle better. I guess I’m just having a lot of anxiety about it because I have 2 past history’s of giving birth early (35w&36w) but it’s been 7 years since my last and it happened really fast lol. I’m probably gonna keep timing them and hold out till my appt in a few hours unless it gets worst thru the night but now they’re getting to 3-5 mins apart but still not painful just really uncomfortable.
Have you tried taking pain relief? Or having a warm bath? They say If the pain subsides or goes away it’s BH , it could be prodromal labour too, it’s so hard to tell as every pregnancy is different 😭😩 and with yu having quick labours I can understand the anxiety you’ll be feeling, hope your feeling a lot better soon and hopefully this is the start of it!🫶🏼
@Dee no, I’m probably gonna try now tho because I need some sleep before getting my son up for school then going to my ob appt in a few hours lol. When I was in the hospital the other day they said if I get to 3cm or my contractions get 3-5 mins apart they’re gonna be doing my c section but I’m in denial rn with my contractions being 3-5 mins apart right now lol.
@Dominique totally understandable with your history! That would definitely add anxiety. I think that's a good plan. Does baby feel really low? I can't imagine being ay 3-5 minutes with labor contractions and not being in a lot of pain already, but I haven't given birth yet. My husband and I are both fairly sick with covid right now, so every time I get one that teeters on being actually painful instead of uncomfortable, my brain starts to panic a bit. This is not the time 😂
@Laura yes, she’s dropped already and it feels like I’m ripping apart down there and just a huge bowling ball down there. When I was in labor with my first, I actually didn’t even know I was, wasn’t having any symptoms other than back pain. I was at my doc appt doing a nst and they sent me to the hospital. My 2nd, it felt just like bh and wasn’t painful just uncomfortable. I had a appt that same day, was in the shower getting ready for it having the contractions and they never went away so I called the hospital and asked if I should just go to my appt or go to the hospital, they told me if it would ease my mind to just go into the hospital first and get checked and I had him just a few hours later lol. What’s crazy is, my 2nd was born on Halloween lol. I swear if this baby comes today or tomorrow on her brothers bday I’m gonna lose it🤣
Considering they're varying from 3-7 minutes, its likely Braxton hicks. If they were labor contractions at 3 minutes apart, you'd likely be in a lot more pain and almost ready to push baby out! I've been having a ton of BH since about 30 weeks (almost 38 now) and have gone through chunks of sometimes 6+ hours of near constant ones, with a similar time frame as yours. Hopefully that makes you feel a little better! If you're concerned its labor, you could always try calling your OB offices after hours line or the OB triage at the hospital for some peace of mind.
