Ours is £57 a per day so for 2 days a week it works out around £500 a month. We couldn’t be picky because this was the only nursery with space! If you ask the nursery you like for more information they are usually very good at providing whatever you need x
It's only few of them that has spaces for under 3 , what we found is 35£ per session (half day ) so full day would be 70£ plus 2.1£ for food . One nursery moved my application to 2026 as they don't have spaces for next year , so it's worth giving them a call asking what's the situation and the prices , also it's good to go and see the environment, as some will have same group for 0-2 that's not the best for development..
We were quoted 75 a day in town but we moved out to east Calder and the one were trying to get into is around 55 x

We’ve visited 2 nurseries around The Meadows, one is £74 a day and the other £75 a day. Keep in mind if you’re eligible for tax free childcare you won’t be paying the full amount.
We use a great place in Livingstone which is £55 because I left it too late to get an Edinburgh place. It actually turned out the best for us. No one warned me it was so hard to get a space. So get on waiting lists and ask for information packs to be sent via email which have the prices on them. They charge registration fees too.
mine is £69 per day, 4 days a week 🤣 in Trinity
Like you said, costs do vary quite a lot depending on the area, but you're probably looking at 60-70 for a day. Baby rooms are also more expensive than the other ones as the staff to children ratio is lower, and there's no funding available until they're at least 2. Waiting lists can be mad and parents do start reserving a place as soon as they find out they're pregnant (which I always find a bit mad on itself!), so I recommend to make inquiries to the ones you'd be interested in and get a bit more information on availability, fees and any requirements they may have - how old the baby has to be before they can start, minimum number of sessions per week, etc. Good luck!
