My care was good from the QE throughout pregnancy, midwives pre birth were amazing, then after emergency c section I got stuck on a ward with very unfriendly care
QE without a doubt. Had all 3 of my babies there and I couldn’t recommend enough. My partner was able to stay with me with my last baby in September (not always possible but still so happy they allowed it) but even without that I think the care is just so much more personal. My sister in law gave birth at the RVI last October and she didn’t have anything positive to say about it.
I went with the RVI for my first and will definitely be going there again for my second, staff were so friendly and really helped keep me informed on what was going on throughout my labour! Only downside is the cup of tea wasn’t the best, bringing my own teabags next time! I had my son downstairs which is currently closed due to staffing issues but the head of dept wants it reopened asap so fingers crossed it’s open soon!
I’ve had 3 at the rvi 10/10 everytime. No complaints would 100% recommend
Honestly they are completely different I had my first at Qe, I’m switching back to the qe at 28 weeks for my second just because the atmosphere is overall better smaller wards (4 to a room unless you get a private room after birth) the staff are so so lovely when I got rushed to hospital at 19 weeks due to water infection I didn’t have a single complaint xx
