Toddler separation anxiety due to pregnancy / new baby sibling

Those currently pregnant or who have just had another baby did you find your toddler became clingy and developed separation anxiety? I'm due to have baby No.2 in a matter of weeks and my LO has become so clingy and wakes every night at 1am and will scream and cry until I put them in bed with me.

Same as @Gemma! He got extremely clingy in my third trimester. He did act out for a few weeks when the baby came but now we’ve gotten into our ‘new normal’ and he adores baby sister.

My Jan 2023 babies are my 2nd&3rd. My eldest (then 3) was verrry clingy in my final weeks of pregnancy and had some sleep disruption. Since their birth he has been back to normal so hopefully similar for you.

Same as Gemma! Our 21 month old is simply obsessed with her brother and hasn’t shown any signs of regression or extra clingness since he’s here! I wish I had been less anxious about that during my pregnancy! She was definitely more clingy during pregnancy… AND the tiredness of late pregnancy with a toddler was WAYYY worse than newborn and toddler tiredness for us! Xxx
