When do you start preparing?

We are going to be looking to buy our next to me cot in the black Friday sale

A car seat might be a good purchase to get in the sales if you don’t already have one ☺️ I’ve tried to get all the big expensive purchases out the way so then I could financially plan better for maternity leave x

We bought our car seat and base at the baby show last weekend. I'd advise picking a travel system or pram first, though, in case you want compatibility. We bought our travel system from facebook marketplace, but picked a popular model we knew mamas and papas still stock. Matress is my next purchase as I want a new one for peace of mind, but they are more expensive than I first thought! We're really eco conscious, so we're trying to borrow or source second hand in general. I think this means we've started early. My husband's driving force and Mr. organised!!!

We have bought everything second hand at the moment, only thing we are definitely buying brand new is a car seat . Prices of things are rediculous and also buying second hand also helps out other families and saves you pennies x

We’ve bought majority of big purchases already e.g next to me crib, pram, car seats, moses basket only because I couldn’t wait to buy stuff 😂 Black Friday will deffo be good to get some stuff as prices are ridiculous but there’s no right or wrong when you need to do buy stuff lovely 🤍

Big things on our list: - travel system - bjorn baby bouncer - next2me (2nd hand) - tomeetipee prep machine (hand me down) - crib + changing table drawer (hand me down) - ergo baby carrier (advised wait till baby is here for this though) - pump machine (will likely make a last min purchase once baby is here)
