Thank you hun
I used Dermatix silicone gel as this was recommended by my consultant and after I finished one tube I am now using The Repair Treatment by Luna Daily. It's not silicone-y but a really nice texture to moisturise and massage the scar. My physio said that massaging after a warm shower with a cream/lotion is the best to soften the scar tissue. I'm to busy/lazy/tired to do it every day but I'll do it 3-4 times a week
Thank you Astrid 😊
Itchiness in the scar area is a sign of nerve regeneration so whilst annoying it does mean your nerves are restitching and sensation is coming back online ☺️ tapping it hard helps, itching won’t work as it’s not a real itch it’s nerve signals. Tapping confuses the nerve endings and distracts your brain xx
I haven’t used any scar products but I was told if I did ever get keloid and had another section, they literally cut all that thick scarring out and reseal. I’ve seen lots of mums on here say scar 2 is better and neater than scar 1. If that helps xx
Sorry to hear that happened. Order silicone tape for c section scars on Amazon and either see a specialist physio to learn c-section scar massage or see if there’s a video on YouTube. Good luck ✨
