Why would it still be an option though? Do you think it would be easier to get transferred to Craigavon as it’s only 45 mins away
I selected daisy hill at my booking apt and got given craigavon for some reason
Lagan valleys maternity ward was closed due to being investigated. I chose the Royal (live in lisburn) but had all my midwife appointments at the Lagan Valley.. just had to give birth at the Royal
@Emma where you given the choice of the royal? Anything I have seen is just the Ulster

Personally in my opinion I don’t like Craigavon but everyone’s different I just don’t think it’s a clean hospital and the Amount of creeps that stand and walk around it but everyone has there own option
@Katie I have been in and out a lot from craigavon at the moment with hyperemesis, and it has been a struggle at times with the waiting times
Yeah there waiting times are a disgrace and they take people that are wasting there time first than seeing people that actually need seen
Wouldnt send anyone to the lagan valley it’s closed due to very tragic circumstances that happened almost 3yrs ago. Go with anywhere that had consultant led options and back up emergency sections options. You can still have pre birth midwife check ups at it but no births. I had choice of lagan valley, ulster, daisy hill or craigavon and went with daisy hill
Lagan valley has been closed for years from giving birth that’s why there all given the Ulster.
