💯 recommend. I had one last time and the home part was a dream. I didn’t get to birth at home due to baby’s position however you just get transferred in, which means you won’t need to worry about your partner not driving. If you live relatively close by to the hospital I’d go for it personally x
I had a home birth and I'm planning to have it again. It was a wonderful experience , so calming to be in your own environment, I'm terrified of hospitals! If you want to chat about it my inbox is open!
Hi Loubna I’m planning a home birth but first baby as well so don’t have much advice about it. I have been reading loads about it and have started preparing stuff (renting pool, getting stuff sorted for the day) there’s not much to prepare as the pool comes with everything (in case you want a pool) but if not it’s mainly making the environment comfortable for you (candles, fairy lights, essential oils, snacks, etc). If you decide to have a home birth feel free to message me and we can share prep details/ ideas.
I had a very fast unplanned home birth with my 3rd, 45 mins start to finish and tbh it was amazing i delivered her myself!! I wanted a home birth with my 4th but due to midwife having missed I had retained products (only small) they didn’t want me to have my 4th at home. Plus my partner is a complete worrier so haven’t even contemplated it with no 5!! But out of them all it was the best birth I had
I have had a home birth with my son and it was great! Currently 34 weeks and planning for another hime birth! I would suggest getting a birth pool if you have space/enjoy that type of thing. The pain relief just in the warm water was amazing! Setup a floor in your home designated for birth so you dont end up going up and down etc. having supportive midwifes is so key! Have something planned to eat after birth lol even a frozen pizza 😋 listen to birth podcasts that help you understand birth and the stages well. Good luck! You got this 💪🎉
