Is “push present” an actual thing?? Do you still get one if you have a c section??

I feel awkward mentioning it to my husband lol, as I’m having a c section I think. I’ve only just heard about such a thing, and I’m sure my husband knows nothing about it. Do most of your husbands give you a push present or is it just something on the internet?

C-section or vaginal birth its still a birth therefore you’re very entitled to a push present!!

If you want something to recognize the accomplishment that is pregnancy and birth then mention it! Mine had no clue about push presents and I didn't feel the need for a gift but he would have gotten me something if I did. Traditionally it's a 3rd ring for your wedding band stack but it can be whatever you want. All births are amazing, vaginal or cesarean so you deserve to be acknowledged no matter what!

C sections are hard you definitely deserve something

You still carried the baby for 9m and that’s no small feat. If you want a push present, ask. We deserve what we deserve.

I think it’s mainly an internet thing tbh as I’ve never known anyone in my life actually ask for/get one. I had a Caesarian but didn’t ask for one, I’d have definitely gotten one if I did ask as he’s just like that, I just didn’t feel like I needed anything xx

I've never heard of a push present and frankly think it's a little bizarre. No hate intended towards anyone who wants or received one but I viewed my baby as the reward of pregnancy/birth... plus we'd bought enough stuff for us/baby already 😅

Mine got me an Apple Watch spontaneously when we were out at 8 months pregnant & that became my push gift…def not complaining😅

My partner got me a “carrying” present the other day to celebrate entering our last month - which happened to be a very nice handbag which I thought was very appropriate and something I can keep and pass down to my daughter when she grows up

Wow thank you all for your input. I def didn’t expect so many moms to know about it, but glad I asked so I can make up my mind.
