Ppd

How are you guys dealing with your ppd months later?? I seemed to have a handle on my ppd for a long time after I had my baby but now that he’s older I seem to be struggling with it a lot more.

I’m in therapy for PPA. It didn’t happen until she was about 6-7 months.

This PP has rocked me lol I thought I was dealing with a lot of PPA but nope. The PP had knocked loose the mania part of my bipolar disorder 🙃 I'm working with a psychiatrist and a therapist

I got on zoloft when my son was about 6 weeks old. It made me gain weight, but I've been a much more attentive and happy mom all around.

Interesting enough I feel like a wave of PPD has hit me now that my daughter is 9 months. I feel like I was doing fairly well prior to now. :( just been pushing through it, but may seek therapy soon

Therapy and medical marijuana. My son has had medical complications and ppd kicked me down harder. But I don’t use unless someone else is home. It’s made me happier and coping much better

For anyone breastfeeding and hitting PPD/A/R now please make sure your potassium, sodium, magnesium and calcium are all in check as well as your vitamin D. I didn't really buy it when my nutrition guy was explaining it to me but indeed mine went away as soon as I started drinking LMNT electrolytes with my prenatals. Basically you need the correct balance of magnesium potassium and sodium in order to absorb the calcium from a supplement and when that's all out of balance especially from breastfeeding it can cause or amplify ppd/a/d.

Therapy, I’m also taking meds (Zoloft). Mine came late too at 5-6 months PP.
