Following. I will be going through thr same thing in april/may. Right now my incision from my 1st c section is tiny/thin. I think it might depend on who is doing it

My 2 c section scars are the same length and right on top of each other

My 1st section was ab emergency my 2nd was planned as LO was breech. My scar the 2nd time was bigger I don't know if it's because it went over scar tissue or because they literally had to pull my belly up to my armpits as baby was stuck and they couldn't pull her out safely enough so the incision was longer I don't know. Healing though the second time around wasn't as smooth as the first I thought .

When I was having my second baby the doctor cut off the old scar and now I only have one scar and it looks really neat.

I have had two planned caesarean sections and they are the same size. I guess it depends who you get on the day of the op 🤷‍♀️ maybe get some scar oil and start massaging it. Might reduce the appearance a little and make you feel better about it ❤️

I'm due to have my second soon. Do you literally have two scars? 😅 I thought they did it on top the first

I'll be having my second here in a month, and have been wondering about repeat! My first was an emerg to keep both him and I alive, and I have a planned one for this one, just so no complications arise, hopefully

My second was exactly the same spot and same size as the first. They basically cut on the dotted line. There are occasions where babies position or maybe vitals changed that they need to make a different cut so maybe you could ask your Dr about it

Mine is just one scar—she cut on top of the old one.

@Laura my doc said she was going to do that in the office and on the operating table said “oh it’s so small I can’t see it I’m going to draw it in so I can see” ends up slightly freehanding so I have it kinda over my old scar kinda not

How many weeks pp are you? Remember in the beginning you’ll also be very swollen making the scar appear bigger. It’ll shrink over time.

@Ana it’s on top of the old one not exactly but the majority of it is!

@N 💞 only just over a week but I can see where my old one ends, and obviously where my new one is and it’s massive

@Liv both my babies were frank breech and there’s only 9oz between them in weight

Yeh mine wasnt much bigger but it was much more wonky. It was also way more painful and sore healing as well. They cut the only one out and create the new one. Thats why it seems worse 🙈 I also had that gnarly bruise on my bits as well which i never had previously either 😳 Mine were only 21 months apart. But now at 11 months PP it has healed pretty nicely :-)

I’m due mine next month but my obstetrician said my scar will be no bigger or different than the first, they use the same scar internally and externally to minimise complications and remove any scar tissue to keep it neat.

@Alleiah that looks really neat to me!

My 1st scar was so neat considering it was an emergency and my second section was planned but they had to extend all the way to my hip on one side 🙃 they also didn’t stitch me up right as you can see the vertical joinings or where the stitching was done 👎 not a happy chappy!!

@Abigail that’s like mine first was beautiful second awful an to my hip on one side
