Nursery Question

Hiya, I've just applied for my little one to go to a nursery at a local primary school starting Sep 2025. It's my understanding she'd go for half days for this but i'm not certain with how it all works She currently goes to a day nursery for 3 full days a week 8:30am-5pm and we get the 15 free hours. I'm wondering if it's worth the switch next year as her free hours will go up to 30 hours free at age 3 so she'll be able to stay where she is 3 full days per week or go the nursery at a primary school for half days each day for free instead. I'm leaning to her staying where she is but don't want her to miss out on the Primary nursery experience as I know this will help settle her for Reception etc. I'm finding the idea of half days pointless and me and my little one both benefit from those solid 3 days apart in the week and I know with half days by the time I take her and get home it'll be time to pick her back up again🤦‍♀️ What are you all doing?

My eldest stayed in private nursery till he was 4 and started reception, didn't know anyone but he was very outgoing and didn't seem phased. The local primary school here does the 30 hours over 5 days as the normal school times, so we would then still need wraparound care as we both work, obviously our bill will reduce massively either way. But also don't know whether to send him to school nursery or leave him where he is 😅

@Lesley my little one is quite shy until she is comfy and then she's just fine😅 so her already knowing and being fond of the staff where she is is a benefit of her staying, it's a hard decision isn't it! I've no idea what is best aha

We will he sticking with the private nursery 😊

I think after thinking on it I will be sticking with where she is too🙂 really struggling to see the benefits of moving her and it means I still have a block of 3 full days I can work x
