Laparoscopy scars after c section

Hi there, Has anyone in this group with endometriosis (or who has had a previous laparoscopy for any other reason) noticed any changes to their laparoscopy scars post pregnancy? I had a c section two weeks ago and my lowest laparoscopy scar is now larger and puffier with purple marks around it. Not sure if that’s normal- has anyone else had similar?

I’ve had x2 laparoscopy operations (ectopic pregnancy and gall bladder removal). After both my c sections I didn’t notice any change to my scars from my laparoscopy operations. Maybe speak to the hospital or your gp if you’re worried xx

I didn’t until reading this. Looking at my lowest scar it’s the same - puffier and more purple. Maybe it’s just the blood flow that went to it? I’m sure it’ll fade (along with my hundred purple stretch marks that I have 🙄)

I had the op about 18 months before my c section. During pregnancy, my scars grew and got a bit deeper with the thinning of the skin.

I’m scheduled for a section next week and I’ve noticed my scars from endometriosis laparoscopic excision surgery have gotten darker and a bit puffier particularly on my lower belly as pregnancy has progressed, they were barely visible before pregnancy. I think I’m going to just start back using silicone scar patches along with with c section scar when I’m cleared to do so

Scars get worse with pregnancy. Try using bio oil and silicone patches like mederma.
