I got induced with my 1st 13 years ago.... from start to finish 6 hours. Just had my 2nd all natural and was having contractions for 2 days b4... I much preferred induction xx
I was induced with my first, I had the pessary, I was induced at around 9pm and baby girl was born mid day the next day, my active labour was 76mins, I went from 2cm to 10cm in 20 minutes. They actually tried twice to slow my labour down! Only had gas and air when they realized I was 10cm and she was actually coming. Getting induced tomorrow for exactly the same reason as my first, hoping for it to be as quick again 🤞🤞 I would say prepare yourself for every eventuality, it caught me by surprise because all I'd heard before that was failed/long induction stories. Be strong, your body has your back! X
I was induced a few weeks ago, a really positive experience for me! I was examined at 9:30am and my cervix was really high and I wasn’t dilated, so they inserted the 24 hour pessary, at 3pm I started having contractions, at 5pm I was in active labour and 4cm dilated, at 7pm I was 7cm dilated and they broke my waters as they were bulging and she was born 10 minutes later at 7:10pm 😅 it was wild!!! The midwives were amazing, we were home the same evening and it was honestly just bliss. Xxx
I was induced with my first and had a really lovey experience! I will say that it was a bit slow getting started but my cervix was not dilated at all to begin with and was really high and back still! I had the pessary then two rounds of the gel over 48 hours by which point I was dilated enough to break my waters. I was also placed on the pitocin drip. From that point to pushing was just over 7 hours, I then pushed for 15 mins and my 9lb little chunk was born! I had the epidural at the same time the pitocin drip was placed but it had been my plan all along to have an epidural and it meant I managed to sleep through most of my labour. The room was dimly lit, I had calming music on and aromatherapy and felt incredibly relaxed. My midwives were amazing and knew that I was anxious so really supported me throughout. I’m actually having a C-section this time because my baby is still breech and I’m quite sad that I won’t be going through that experience again even with the induction!
