Vaginal delivery recovery

How long does it typically take to recover from vaginal delivery? I’ve had a c section before so I have no idea what to expect in terms of how I’ll feel after.

You'll feel great immediately, except for the tiredness and some soreness if you tear down there. It's a much easier recovery than c section.

Like all kinds of birth recovery is very different for everyone. I had a traumatic vaginal birth where I also had to have an episiotomy and tore badly so had lots of stitches. I felt completely shell shocked from the horror I experienced and was in so much pain down below. I couldn’t go to the toilet without crying from the pain for 3 months afterwards. Didn’t feel “healed” till 8-10 months PP. Everyone’s experiences are so different and you just have no idea how it’s going to go but I hope you have a much more positive experience than I did and a much quicker recovery!

Awww thank you ladies for sharing your experiences with me ♥️

Every birth is different but I've had 2 vaginal births with no tears and been fine within a couple of hours. I had paracetamol after giving birth and didn't need any more by the time it wore off. With my second baby I was home after 6hrs doing my toddler's bedtime routine! 😂 Hope it goes well for you 🤞
