You can still bleed up until 8 weeks postpartum so I wouldn’t worry. After that if you bleed, it’s a period

It may just be the recovery. I bled for a good couple of weeks. I think the timing of your period depends if you BF or not. I didn't/couldn't and mine came back about six weeks and it was sooo heavy!
