Might be moving to Sydney

Hello all! My husband and I might be moving to the Sydney area for a couple of years and I wanted to just ask how the ob care looks. We have been in the ivf process and would likely try to arrive after a transfer so we can go straight to an ob (hopefully🤞🏼). We also have a toddler son who would be starting preschool soon, are public schools good? Do people do private? I have heard the Castle Hill area is a good family heavy area so we have been looking at places around there so far. Appreciate any insight on mom life in the area or if there are any ob’s you guys love/recommend. Thank you🤗

I live in Box Hill so hills district but further out than Castle Hill. I absolutely love my ob, Dr Matthew Wilson. He is based in Norwest and is just brilliant. Such a lovely person and so knowledgeable. Highly recommend. Everyone has different opinions about schooling. I would say most of the public schools in the castle hill area are really good. I do work in public schools as a psychologist though so I am speaking from that perspective. Once you know what school you are zoned for, you can ask for reviews etc for that particular school. Hills District Mums FB group has lots of information in posts that you could search. The hills is a great area for lots of reasons but be prepared for the terrible traffic. I think it’s Sydney in general but it is bad in certain parts of the hills. So depending on where you’re coming from, it may take some time to get used to that! I hope the move goes well :)

I used Dr Chris Saadie as my OB in Castle Hill. I would highly recommend him.

So helpful guys thanks! đź’šđź’š

I had Dr Reena Mohan in norwest and she was fantastic !!
