We are in the same dilemma! I think we might but it off as our nursery is all year round whereas our other option is school term time!!
My little one is with a childminder at the min, and I was looking at sending her to nursery from next year when I qualify for the 30 hours. But. Like you say, the hours are less flexible, and also I'd still need childcare during half terms and holidays so I'd still have to use the childminder, so financially for me, I don't see it working. So I may keep her with the childminder for a bit longer!
Mine is at nursery at the moment but she will be going to pre school at the school she will be going to in September when she turns 3 🙂
My little girl hasn’t been to any settings yet so I can’t really give any help with the transition element but I I have registered her for the nursery at the primary school I’m hoping she will attend for reception. She will go next September after she’s turned 3. Having taught nursery and reception myself I think it will be the easiest transition for her (hopefully). Xxx
