Overall I would say I had a good induction was inserted at 7pm and had baby boy at 9am via vaginal delivery, only bad thing for me was the pain because I have zero pain threshold and it was intense compared to my first labour that was spontaneous, I don’t remember much to be honest, had a bit too much gas and air 😅😂
I loved my induction. Think I went on the drip about 4pm, had the epidural at about 8pm and was 10cm by 10pm x
Mine was lovely! Pessary in, checked 24h later and was dilated enough to have my waters popped. Had a sweep to help, and waited for a bed on labour ward. When I got a bed, they popped my waters and I had a baby in my arms 5h later. No drip, just gas and air and a lovely vaginal delivery. Be patient because it can take a while, take snacks and entertainment! Keep mobile if you can, take walks and bounce on the ball etc.
I loved my birth experience. I was due to be induced on the 6th Sept but my waters broke naturally on the 5th. I wasn’t dilating so I was induced with the drip and honestly it was fine! I dilated at a steady pace and had diamorphine which was literal heaven🤣 it made me feel amazing along side gas and air. I had a longish labour due to dilation however only pushed for 7 mins. The drip brought on my contractions quite quick so it got stopped a couple of times however I honestly don’t have a bad thing to say about it all! Good luck girl x
@Chelsie I'm hoping for this induction Chelsie 😩 It sounds ideal!!
I think it’s important to know that you can be in there a while, I wasn’t necessarily given all the information. And it’s can be very disheartening when people are coming and going and you are still sat there. Just be prepared for a long stint and fingers crossed you will be quick. I wouldn’t say I had a horror story more than it unfortunately didn’t work for me and feel like it’s something you need to prepare yourself for because again I wasn’t told any of this. I ended up having a c section but had a really lovely experience in there 😊. Fingers crossed the induction does work for you and fast x
My Induction was fine. The hospital I was in was stop start, so they’d induce you then you wouldn’t be able to have the next lot because they’d run out of beds, which was annoying! But go prepared, if you’ve got your own fluffy blanket, your own pillow, a nice room spray, lap top, long charger. Make your self comfy! You’ll be fine!! The other positive is I asked for an epidural before I went up to the Labour ward so when I got up there it was all ready to go. I’m pregnant again I’m now stress about not being in the hospital when my contractions start and knowing when to go in! 🫠🙈 xxx
