@Skye thank you, was it infected or was it just part of the healing process?x
As someone who had sepsis 3 days post discharge after an emergency c- section and second surgery that same week to fix a leak outside my uterus I would say get it checked out if you are concerned plus you should have access to the labour ward if you have concerns as well, unless things changed. I am not suggesting that’s what you have but I made the mistake of waiting too long wondering about my symptoms … it’s always safest post discharge to ring the labour suite rather than wait for other community services if you are that worried. There’s nothing wrong with getting checked out even if they say it’s nothing. Hope all goes well xx
@incog mine wasn’t infected it was just part of the process but as I said the HV and midwife were looking at it quite frequently anyway. I agree with @Na though any doubt in your mind that something isn’t right, use the resources you have and get them to take a look that’s what they’re there for! Xx
@Na thank you x
Mine was a planned section but this sort of happened to me. The swelling ramped up and the bruising appeared by this time. My midwife and health visitor looked at it multiple times though and came on day 10 as well. If yours visit on day 10 might be worth asking them to check it over for you. Otherwise get into your GP if you’re really concerned :)
