Feeling guilty and bad

I feel like such a bad mother I have a 16 month old and a 2 month old and today I fell down the stairs with the both of them. My knee locked up and caused me to live my worst nightmare. I fell forward with my babies and I held on to them as much as I could but ended up on the ground without them. My 16month old lip got busted and my 2 month old came out with a small red mark but I ended up with a sprained pinky toe and ankle and a horrible rug burn. After I fell I immediately cried out and went to the Er I can’t believe I dropped my babies and fell. But luckily God pulled through and made sure we were okay.

Thank God you and your kids are okay! Please don’t blame yourself - it’s not your fault, and it never could be. Accidents happen, sometimes beyond our control. I’d say you’re a hero because you took the bigger fall to protect them. They might have had more intense injuries if you hadn’t done that. In this case, there was so little more you could have done. You’re truly a good mama with the best intentions for your little ones💕

Hey mama, you are absolutely not a bad mother - accidents can happen, even when we’re doing everything we can to keep our little ones safe. You did exactly what any loving mother would do: you held on to them, you protected them as best as you could, and then you got them checked out right away to make sure they were okay. It sounds like you did your best to keep them safe in the midst of something really scary. Please be gentle with yourself as you recover; you’re carrying so much already with two little ones, and this was a challenging experience. You’re doing a wonderful job, and this doesn’t change that one bit. Sending lots of love and prayers for a quick recovery for you all! 🩷

Definitely not a bad mother!! We all have accidents, when my twin boys were little I fell over holding one of them on the bus, I ended up on my back and knocked myself out, a very kind stranger helped me back to my feet!! I was mortified but I now look back on it and can laugh, my boy is fine and laughs with me and says “mom do you remembered fallen over with me” please don’t be harsh on yourself!! Sending hugs and hoping for a quick recovery xx
