Daycare Issue

So I recently had to put my son in daycare and it was less than a month when I started feeling like there was a lot of issue arising. Communication was poor. But they always had an excuse like wifi was down to upload photos, feed reports, and respond to questions I may have had. Never let me to the back to examine the room only once. And ensured that things that stayed at the daycare would be properly cleaned and well maintained. I had a strong inclination to do a little assessing of the room one day because my mother went to pick him up and they gave him a bottle to go home with and when I got him from her I asked her not to feed it to him because it was excessive film around the bottle. It made me upset because he has a GI disorder and his bottles need proper cleaning. I went to the daycare the next day and asked to see his bed and bottles and they carelessly handed over his “only bottle left” (when it was 3 given) and it was MAGGOTS in his bottle. I left out in a rage. There is so much more context behind this story. But I want to pursue legal action and need some lawyers that will possibly take this one. ANY LAWYER AND ADVICE PLEASE HELP ME!!! I did reach out to CCL (childcare licensing) and there hasn’t been any advocation for this incident.

Maggots in the bottle is unacceptable, I am so sorry that is the treatment and care your son was receiving.

I work at a daycare and that’s insane !, I’m so sorry you are going through this yes pursue legal action

If you all know anyone I can speak with I’m willing to pay whatever needed to get this solved.

I feel like you need to go to the city and report it get as much information/documentation that you can show them so they can send a social worker

Most daycares make you send the bottle prefilled, so things like that don’t happen. What daycare was it? I’m not in Dallas but will be moving back there soon

Kids University Preparatory Learning Center in Cedar Hill, Tx And I called everyone possible. And the people they sent to investigate basically are saying things like did he come home with bruises or same dirty diaper or bites. It’s no advocation at all. And with time I’m sure they are cleaning it all up. I’m going to the news station next. This is insane. And I feel like no one understands how it feels (those “working” on the case)

@Branneisha yes go to the News station! If you look up daycare lawyers there are a lot of them. I wish you luck. It’s heart breaking knowing your baby wasn’t taken care of well. I pulled my baby out of daycare because they kept saying she ate when she hadn’t. She doesn’t like taking bottles and never has, but I was 2 minutes away and could feed her if needed. Instead they let her starve

@Sarah that was another issue he was coming home with solids/purees I sent for the day numerous times. I definitely will be bringing awareness to this issue. Thank you for not making me feel so crazy about this.

@Branneisha I have been a babysitter and nanny for a while and the quality of child care I have seen is terrible. One place this baby I nannied for gave her only butter for the whole day because they had forgotten to tell the parents they had run out of bottles (they would send her home with one and the parents didn’t bring it back). She was about 8 months old at that time, so 6ish hours without milk is a lot. As parents we need to stand up for our babies.

Contact Grizzys Hood News on Facebook. She may or may not be able to post it and she will get a lot of traction

Take your baby out of this setting and pursue legal action
