Gas/acid pain after a c section

I had my baby via c section yesterday and I have the worst pain in my right shoulder, they’ve said it’s acid/ gas pain? Does anyone have any tips on how to ease this pain? It’s really painful and uncomfortable

Peppermint tea if you can stomach it. If not mints help a little I went through about 5 packets of polos lol. Also as weird as it sounds I got my husband to pat my back like a baby and it helped move things along. Xx

I had this-just went away randomly x

@Naomi how long did it last for you? Xx

@Gem how long did it take for it to go away? :) x

It's so strange isn't it how it's in your shoulder, it will hopefully pass quickly for you. Mine didn't last more than 24 hours. Peppermint oil or tea and just keep passing wind as much as you can

@Becky I had it for about 2 days it started the day I came out of hospital and went away just after being home a couple of days. I think it's because I was a bit more mobile. X

Some hospitals stock peppermint tablets or tea, but you have to ask for it. Sadly moving around helps it but you’ll be in a lot of pain from the section. Mine lasted 5 days on & off but most peoples goes sooner.

@Becky yeah! I didn’t know what was wrong at the beginning it’s odd where abouts it hurts and it came out of no where! Thankyou so much

@Naomi ah okay thankyou x

@Kirsty oh really? Okay I’ll ask Thankyou hopefully I can get loving soon enough and it helps

@Becky couple days! Xx

@Becky my friend had it in her left shoulder and thought it was a heart attack. So strange. Feel better soon and look after yourself after the section, I recommend Arnica tablets for the bruising and recovery x

Ask the hospital for a peppermint shot if you’re still there. They can give it every 4 hours if you ask! Lifesaver!! If not drink peppermint tea by the bucket load X

Oh I had that too, Rennie deflatine helped me. Also if you haven’t already get some Fybogel or another gentle laxative to help, section plus pain killers causes havoc to your digestive system. Oh and congratulations! 🥳

I had it bad for about 5 days, the hospital gave me peppermint water and I walked around as much as I could and when I got home I took windeeze which helped ALOT. It’s so horrible but it will pass

You’re full of wind from the operation! Weird isn’t it! It will pass naturally within a few days.
