Short toddler

Hello, does anyone else have a short toddler? My little girl is 30 months old and is only 82cm and still fits in to 12-18 month trousers. At her 27m health check the HV wasn’t concerned at all. Just said it’s genetics. My and my husband are both short so I guess I shouldn’t be surprised. She has a great diet and speaks so well, so I know shouldn’t worry, but I can’t help not!

Hi,my daughter is the oldest from her friends group but she is the shortest. I don't know her exact high but she is also in 12-18 trousers. I am not concerned about it,her dad and I are average high.

What centile is she on? If you are both short then you will have a short child. As for clothes, some brands are longer than others. M&S runs quite short, lots of posh brands run small like JoJo Mamon, Hatley, Petit Bateau BabyGap. Supermarket brands tend to run long like Tu, George, F&F. Nutmeg and Next seem to run a bit more average.

Yeah, our little boy was 54cm when he was born he is now still only 84cm. Husband is 5ft 11, in 5ft 4. He has dropped a couple of percentiles with his height but at his review last month the health visitor again said it’s nothing to worry about, she guessed he will be around 5ft 6, 5ft 7 when he’s older so quite a bit shorter than his dad

Yes! Our son has just gone into 12-18 months and at his 2 year check last month said his height curve had dropped and he's under the 9th now. He has to go back at Christmas to get it checked and if it hasn't gotten higher on the curve she said he will need refering, in my head I just see them trying to stretch him out?! He's always been small so I'm not too worried I just say we get our money's worth out of his clothes!

Yep mine is dinky, still in 18-24 months and on the 9th centile but I'm the opposite and 5ft9 and his dad is 6ft5 🤣 don't know how it happened, I'm wondering if I will get a growth spurt from him when he's older instead 🤷🏻‍♀️
