potential waters breaking

Bit TMI - i had sex last night and i noticed that the bed was wet after, personally i think it was just from having sex and not my waters breaking , however how can i be sure ? i have no signs what so ever of labour or baby coming ! x would my waters continually leak if they were broke ?

Put a fresh pad on, lie down for half an hour then get up and if your pad is wet it's your waters. You get ring your maternity unit and they can do a swab / test to see if it is your waters x

i’ve had no leaking what so ever , can you go to your normal midwife to get it done or do i have to go to triage ? x

I'd ring triage that's what I had to do x

My personal experience is they continually leak, any movement and they continue to come out. This happened with my first and my waters broke with my second yesterday, straight after breaking I went through 4/5 maternity pads and adult nappies in an hour. For me it’s unmistakeable 😅

How many weeks are you? My friend is under observation at the moment as she has been leaking waters but she began very early on before viability xxxxxxx

Like Caitlyn said put pad on and contact your pregnancy unit xxxx

Just seen you’re in the Nov 2024 group! Xx

@Charlotte yeh im due on sunday 🤣x im not leaking anything at all

When mine went they didn't stop leaking for a while. I continually soaked through pads and then leaked on the floor of triage through the pad. They were asking to "check if it was my waters" and they literally walked into the waiting room, saw the puddle and said "oh, well at least we know it's definitely your waters!" I was surprised how long it went on for too! Pads and pads and pads I went through.

You can go to the maternity assessment unit and they’ll insert a swab to confirm if your waters are leaking. I had it last night and was negative as I thought mine were this week, but apparently not.
