@Alexa mine is very low. Baby has been back to back for a while now! I was told back labour is almost guaranteed with a back to back baby. Unsure about other positions!
Ouff it sounds painful @Leonie really hope you’re doing okay! And your little one comes in sooner than later! X
My first was back to back. I was so ill with S&D the night before my waters broke and I had the worst lower back ache which I couldn’t shift. I had a long hot water bottle wrapped around me. I didn’t have contractions until I was on my way the hospital after my waters had broke 🙈 x
@Nikki did you know it was labour before your waters broke? Did you baby turn in labour or did you birth them back to back?
@Leonie no I had no idea! I put the back ache down to being over the toilet and sink all night 🙈 I thought nothing of it until my waters went. No he didn’t turn, they gave me 2 hours from when I said I needed to push to get him out, he didn’t so then sent me upto a diff ward for a scan, ended up having an epidural, forceps and episiotomy. Could of ended in a c section though if that had failed x
@Nikki that’s what I’m worried about. Not knowing I’m actually in early labour 🤦🏼♀️ my active labour was only 2 hours start to finish first time so don’t want to not know it’s starting! Ah that doesn’t sound great. Really really want to avoid a c section at all costs as have a 2 year old at home to pick up etc!
I had back labour, though my contractions began at the front initially. A tens machine and massage was my only relief. I had non stop contractions so it felt like my spine was being ripped apart and pushing was so hard as couldn’t use the contractions to push!
Hey leonie where is your back pain? Is it in the middle or lower? I keep having intense mid back pain and I don’t know what it is 😩😩 baby not in back to back position unless it’s moved from 3 weeks ago since my last scan
