Considering homeschooling in CA

I have a 1.5 year old and a baby on the way. So have some time. But any recommendations or resources would be great. I’m considering taking some kind of course myself to help. I also envision having like a homeschooling pod so other families can join / teach as well. Thank you!

Unless you & your husband are making 6 figures I’d recommend homeschooling through a charter. That’s what I’m doing with my daughter because curriculum + extracurricular activities are soo expensive. Example, my daughters 1 extracurricular is 1x week for 12 weeks & is $710

@Samantha oooo interesting… I’ll look into that!

Good luck to you , we’ve been homeschooling for almost two years now. We love it, not expensive for us at all. Free curriculum & free extracurricular activities only pay for what we need to. Not easy but many do, so can you!

Let's meet up! @Samantha you too! I'm happy to occasionally drive in your direction or meet up in the middle. We're at the beginning of the journey, but I'd like my kids to have more fellow homeschooled friends. 😀

Sounds good! Feel free to send me a message 😊

@Samantha wondering if you can get all the materials from your school district in cali. Homeschoolers still pay school tax, so usually have access to books and what not from their school district.
