Need advice on finding a good babysitter

I am a SAHM and it is just me and my husband. No family lives close to be able to help. I don’t want to apply for a daycare but would like to find a reliable trustworthy babysitter for our sweet little boy so we can have a date night occasionally. It is great to be with my baby at all times but it is also nice to get a little time away sometimes but I’d feel worried and guilty about leaving my son with a stranger. One of my co workers from my last job confided in me that her niece was abused by a babysitter and she passed away as a result. I just don’t think I can trust anyone else but us. Can anyone relate or have advice?

A lot of childminders offer babysitting services, so maybe look for one who is ofsted registered? X

😪 that’s so sad I definitely don’t trust anyone with my 2 girls I would love a date night my oldest is 4 years old and my youngest is 8 months old and we haven’t had a date night in about 4/5 years 😩

We also don’t have family close by. Did you do NCT or have any mum friends with kids of similar age? We do bath and bed then our friends pop over while we go out for dinner. They live walking distance so it’s easy. We return the favour :)

Definitely good through a verified and registered service. Here I used care.command we tried 3 different sitters before I found one I LOVE and trust her completely with my son. I think it comes down to interviewing first and trying them out for a short first time and also listening to your instincts.

*go through
