Is it still getting more difficult for anyone else?

I was told things would get a bit easier around 6-8 weeks pp and then again after 12 weeks. Well, my daughter is now 3.5months old and it's still progressively getting more difficult. She's crying more than ever, heavier than ever and difficult to rock and settle, won't feed (still gaining weight and producing lots of nappies, so not seen as an issue), won't sleep. The first week pp was absolutely insane in terms of how difficult everything was and how it was just about survival. Now I long for those days. When will it actually get easier? All those with babies of similar age are surprised how difficult it is for us and that it's still not easier. I keep getting looks of pity and reassurance I'm not a bad mum, but honestly if it's not me doing something wrong, then who is? Is it still getting worse for anyone else? Or just me? I'm at absolute breaking point and all I want is for my daughter to be happy

Oh yeah and then 4m gets even worse because they have the sleep regression, leap 4, teething 🙃 Everyone I know around this age is really struggling it’s not just you! You’re certainly not a bad mum!

@Cass Oh wow, okay thank you. Makes me feel less alone. When does it actually get easier? And what is leap 4?

With my first child I found it got significantly easier after she turned a year old, but each month got a tiny bit easier on the road to one year!

Totally agree with Cass. I'm going through the same just now. We're not alone! Xx

@Cass thank you for explaining! I'll look into the app. I've got the huckleberry app but there was no explanation like this

Thank you all, I'm feeing much better knowing I'm not alone and that this is common
