Any stories of how your water broke?

TMI, well not really. But I was sleeping and I had to toot and thought I tinkled a little. Thought about it for a little bit and realized I had to pee really bad. Got up out of bed and it rushed out like a water fall lol I thought I didn’t hold my pee good enough and when I got to the bathroom, I confirmed that it was my water with bloody show and not pee. Woke my husband and middle child up and called my sister to meet us at the hospital. It just kept coming out every time I got up lol

Woke up one morning and when I stood up from bed it sort of just gushed out. No contractions or anything. But with my first pregnancy my water never broke. They had to break it for me in the hospital after going into labor from contractions. Think there's a bunch of different scenarios!

Woke up suddenly at 6am and it felt like I accidentally peed myself. Ran to the bathroom and it was bloody in the toilet and kept running down my legs after I stood up. There was so much that kept coming and coming. No contractions, I went straight in to a c-section when I got to the hospital because I had twins. Water broke at 37+3

38+3 days water broke at home. I woke up about 1 in the morning, peed then went back to bed but felt my underwear wet so went back into the bathroom and a little tinkle of water was coming down my legs. Went straight to hospital where the check me and as I was lying in the hospital bed, more gushed out and it was bloody this time. I was not having contractions and I was only 3 dilated but they admitted me. Then the contractions came and it got pretty bad. I got the epidural but it didn’t work so about an hour and a half later they gave me more medicine to the epidural and I felt nothing. I was in labor for 11 hours, active labor for five maybe and about half the time I was in pain and the rest was easy. She was out in literally one push, I actually had to stop that one push because the doctors wasn’t in the room yet. Healthy 8.10 pound baby girl, Kaylee May. Good luck mama!

Mine broke at the hospital. I was contracting for maybe 5 hours at this point. Lost my mucus plug right before, then water broke. Had baby 11 hours later

I woke up in the morning and it just happened while I was waking up sitting there. Was completely unexpected! I thought it could possibly be pee but after a while it kept leaking and it didn’t smell like pee and an hour later contractions started happening so I was like oh? I guess we’re really doing this? Cool. Lol. I didn’t even think mine would break because I heard that only 5-6% of women’s break naturally.

@HJ Renee this is quite literally what happened to me lol. I rolled over in bed and thought I peed a little because I’d been holding it tbh and had to go pretty bad. Stood up and it went all through my shorts, down my legs and to the ground. I was literally leaking water the whole day in the hospital during labor

@Eva same! Well, kept coming out with every contraction until my surgery.
