@Sophie your encouraged to keep walking and mobile, I was doing slow workout videos walking ones whilst in my cubicle and walked lots around the ward up and down the stairs etc. Yiu have to wait 48 hrs anyway so it's better to keep moving as it helps with the cramps

Didn’t have the ballon, however I did have an induction and was offered one (declined as I didn’t feel it was for me). The midwife did explain it thoroughly to me and stated it’s best to keep up and about as the whole point is for the balloon to fall out once it’s done its job. They basically told me that throughout the whole induction it’s best to keep moving (light walks etc, nothing crazy).

I had the balloon, as above I got told to keep active. There were no beds for me in the ward at the time, so I got to go home then return the next day. I'd suggest 2 pairs of pants.. one as normal, 2nd pair to put in the tubes that are attached xx

I had mine fitted 4pm and little one was with me by 12am (8hrs) However I was 9 days overdue and had a sweep the day before. They told me I was probably in early stages anyway but just hadn’t noticed. I went for a few walks and stood up most of the time in my cubicle. Hope all goes ok for you. Good luck. X

i didn’t have the balloon as i was already 3cm on the morning of my induction. I just had an ARM and then was encouraged to walk around, bounce on the fit ball etc.

I was constantly walking or on a ball and I was in labour for under 3 hours (first and only child) even the doctors were shocked lol

@Riley how long of walking and being on the ball until active Labour?

@Sophie I'm not quite sure, I don't remember what time my water broke or anything but it was definitely under 12 hours. I think it was closer to 6 hours for me.
